Applications are now open for the 2025 A&BK Scholarships in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London.
This undergraduate scholarship is available for students starting their studies in the 2025/26 academic year and cannot be deferred. All recipients must accept the scholarship's Terms and Conditions upon award.
The A&BK Scholarship has been awarded annually since 2022-23 and will continue until the 2026-27 academic year.
Imperial College London Scholarship 2025: Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Imperial College London Scholarship, applicants must:

Have a household income of £42,000 or less, as confirmed by their local funding authority (SFE, SFW, SAAS, or SFNI).

Hold Home fee status.

Be classified as coming from a widening participation background and meet the eligibility criteria for contextual admissions schemes. If unsure about eligibility, applicants should contact the relevant admissions team.

Plan to begin an undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering in the 2025/26 academic year.

Have an offer of admission from Imperial College London for a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The selected scholar will receive a cash bursary of £20,000 per year, awarded for up to four academic years.
How to Apply for the Imperial College London Undergraduate Scholarship 2025
Interested and eligible candidates should follow these steps to apply:
Submit a Student Finance Application

Apply for student finance and undergo means-testing through Student Finance England (SFE) or an equivalent funding authority.

Means-testing requires submitting household income details to determine eligibility for maintenance support.
Meet Household Income Criteria

Your household income must be less than £42,000 per year.

SFE must confirm this information to Imperial College London by 11:59 PM (UK time) on Friday, 30th May 2025.

Since SFE can take up to 8 weeks to process applications, it is recommended to apply for means-testing as soon as student loan applications open.
Consent to Share Financial Information

Ensure that you grant Imperial College London permission to access your household income details from SFE.

Household income includes your parents’ or partner’s income, plus your own.
Submit a UCAS Application

Apply for an undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering through UCAS.

Obtain an offer of admission by 11:59 PM (UK time) on Friday, 30th May 2025.
