Eligibility Requirements for 2025 Indian Government ICCR Scholarships
To be considered for the Indian Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Research and Performing Arts Applicants:

Doctoral/post-doctoral applicants must submit a synopsis of their proposed research area.

Applicants in performing arts should, if possible, provide audio or video recordings of their performances.

English Proficiency:
Candidates must have adequate knowledge of English.
Application Process:
Direct Applications: ICCR will not accept applications sent directly by students or by local Embassies/High Commissions in New Delhi.
Priority will be given to students who have not previously studied in India.
Course Restrictions:
Applications will not be accepted for MBBS/MD, Dentistry, or Nursing programs.
University Admission:
Indian universities and educational institutions are autonomous, with their own eligibility criteria. Admission by the university does not guarantee the scholarship. A scholarship is awarded only after admission confirmation by ICCR.
Visa Requirement:
Students must carry a valid visa. Ensure the correct visa is obtained from the Indian Embassy/High Commission.
Arriving without the proper visa may result in deportation if admission does not materialize.
Pre-Departure Briefing:
Scholars should seek a full briefing from the Indian Diplomatic Mission about living conditions, scholarship details, and their course.
Scholars must inform the Indian Embassy of their travel schedule for proper arrangements.
Financial Preparation:
Scholars are advised to bring sufficient funds for incidental expenses upon arrival.
Document Verification:
Scholars must bring original documents related to their qualifications for verification at the time of admission.
