Deakin University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded or 50% Tuition Waiver – Australia)
Each academic year, Deakin University invites applications from both international and domestic students for its prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship. This scholarship offers full (100%) or partial (50%) tuition fee coverage for eligible undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD programs at Deakin University, Australia.
The scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and leadership potential. Successful recipients will also participate in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP), a development initiative aimed at nurturing future global leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, you must:
- Be a prospective international student applying for a coursework degree at Deakin University
- Meet the university’s admission requirements
- Have achieved a minimum of 85% average (or equivalent) in your previous academic studies
- Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee selection. This is a competitive scholarship, and higher academic performance may be required.
Scholarship Benefits
- 100% or 50% tuition fee coverage for the normal duration of your course
- Participation in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP)
Priority consideration for on-campus accommodation (at your own cost and subject to availability)
Students who are not selected for this scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship, which offers a 25% tuition waiver.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Completed Deakin International Scholarship Program Application Form (PDF)
- A 300-word personal statement, written by you
- Two referee reports supporting your leadership or community involvement
- A completed application to study at Deakin University, including academic transcripts
Your personal statement should include:
- Why you want to study at Deakin University
- Your extracurricular activities, work experience, or volunteer work
- Why you believe you would be an outstanding Deakin ambassador
- Any other relevant achievements or experiences
