2025 Chinese Government Hubei Scholarship for International Students
The Hubei Provincial Government is now accepting applications for the 2025 Chinese Government Hubei Scholarship, offering fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs at universities in Hubei, China.
This scholarship aims to attract outstanding international talent to study in Hubei, a province renowned for its excellence in education and scientific research. With a generous budget of 35 million RMB (approx. USD $5 million), the Hubei Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support to selected students.
Scholarship Benefits
- Recipients of the Hubei Government Scholarship will receive:
- Full tuition waiver
- On-campus accommodation
- Comprehensive medical insurance
- Annual living allowance based on academic level:
- Program Level Annual Stipend
- Undergraduate ¥10,000
- Graduate (Master’s) ¥15,000
- Doctoral ¥20,000
- General Scholar ¥5,000 (6 months) or ¥10,000 (1 year)
- Advanced Scholar ¥10,000 (6 months) or ¥20,000 (1 year)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025 Hubei Government Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens
- Meet the age and education requirements for the program level:
- Undergraduate applicants: Under 25 years old, with a high school diploma
- Master’s applicants: Under 30 years old, with a Bachelor’s degree
- Doctoral applicants: Under 35 years old, with a Master’s degree
- Be in good health
- Meet the language and academic requirements of the intended university/program

- Completed Application Form
- Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship Application Form
- Copy of passport
- Notarized copy of highest diploma
- Notarized academic transcripts or proof of employment/job title (if applicable)
- Two letters of recommendation
