The Hasselt University Master Mind Scholarship 2025 is a fully funded opportunity for outstanding international students to pursue a Master’s degree in Belgium.
Funded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training, this scholarship supports talented students worldwide to enroll in master’s programs in Flanders and Brussels.
Eligibility Criteria for the Master Mind Scholarship 2025
To be eligible for the Master Mind Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Academic Excellence:
- A Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (Use the GPA Calculator to check).
English Language Proficiency:
Applicants must demonstrate a strong command of English through one of the following tests:
- IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 7.0
- TOEFL: Minimum total score of 94
- CAE (Certificate in Advanced English): C1 Level
- Equivalent results in other official English language tests
- Online IELTS and TOEFL tests are also accepted
Enrollment & Residency Restrictions:
- Applicants must not be currently enrolled at a Flemish higher education institution, except for those in a preparatory program leading to a master's degree starting in September.
- Students only enrolling in a preparatory program, bridging program, or distance learning course are not eligible.
- Open to all nationalities except Russian, but applicants must have obtained their previous degree from a higher education institution outside Flanders.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with another Flemish government grant or an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
- Financial Support – Recipients receive a €10,000 grant per academic year (60 ECTS).
- Tuition Fee Waiver – Scholars only pay a small administrative enrollment fee.
- Living Support – The grant is paid in installments and helps cover accommodation and living expenses.
How to Apply for the Hasselt University Master Mind Scholarship 2025 (Step-by-Step Guide)

Step 1: Apply for a Master’s Program at UHasselt
- Submit a complete application, including all required documents, for your chosen Master’s program at Hasselt University.

Step 2: Submit the Master Mind Scholarship Application
- Complete the Master Mind application form by March 15, 2025.
- Upload the following documents in the application form:
- Two recommendation letters from professors at your current or previous university or from a recent employer. The letters must be in English.
- (For Master of Management & Master of Transportation Sciences applicants only): Upload your admission letter from Hasselt University.
- Merge the two recommendation letters into one PDF document before uploading.
