Kansas State University (KSU) is offering a fully funded graduate scholarship for international students interested in pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees in the fields of Agriculture, Ecology, and Biology. This opportunity is housed within the Welti Arthropod Ecology Lab and focuses on research related to grassland arthropod biodiversity, ecological functions, and species interactions, primarily at the Konza Prairie Biological Station.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected graduate students will receive:
- Annual stipend of $28,194 (for both MSc and PhD candidates)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in ecology, biology, or a related field by the time of appointment
- Be genuinely interested in arthropod or grassland ecology
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Be comfortable with outdoor work during summer months
- Be prepared for lab work and arthropod sample processing
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experiences will have an added advantage:
- Background in plant or arthropod fieldwork
- Taxonomic identification skills
- Familiarity with R and ecological statistics
- Previous research experience
