The Université Paris-Saclay IDEX Master Scholarship is designed to attract talented international students to its Master’s programs across various faculties, institutions, and partner universities. The scholarship aims to facilitate access to high-quality education and support students pursuing academic and research careers, particularly those intending to continue to the doctoral level.
Application Deadline:
May 5, 2025 – Deadline for program coordinators to nominate candidates.
May 9, 2025 – Deadline for selected students to submit their scholarship applications.
May 12, 2025 – Final date for referees to submit recommendation letters.
Late June 2025 – Announcement of scholarship results.
About the Award:
The IDEX Master’s Scholarship at Université Paris-Saclay is designed to attract outstanding international students to its Master’s programs across its faculties, component institutions, and partner universities. Funded by the Programme Investissements d’Avenir, this scholarship supports students aiming to pursue academic and research careers, with the potential to continue to the doctoral level.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an international student admitted to a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay.
- Be under 30 years old at the time of selection.
- Be a first-time student in France (except for those who have taken non-degree training courses or language classes).
- Have lived in France for less than a year as part of an academic mobility program (e.g., Erasmus Mundus) without obtaining a French degree.
- Must not have previously been enrolled in a French higher education degree program.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants are evaluated based on:
- Academic excellence and achievements.
- Motivation and personal project.
- Research potential, especially for those planning to pursue a PhD.
- Assessment by a jury of experts from Université Paris-Saclay.

How to Apply for the IDEX Master Scholarship
- Apply for Admission – Submit an application for a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay.
- Get Shortlisted – Only students selected by program coordinators will be invited to apply for the scholarship.
- Receive the Application Link – Shortlisted candidates will get an email with a link to the online scholarship application form.
- Provide Referee Details – Submit the names and contact information of two academic referees.
- Recommendation Letters Submission – Referees will receive a link to upload their recommendation letters.
- Final Evaluation – Applications with completed recommendation letters will be reviewed by the selection jury.
- Scholarship Results Announced – Final decisions will be communicated in late June 2025.
Note:
- Direct applications are not accepted; only students who receive an invitation can apply.
- Applications that are incomplete or missing recommendation letters will be automatically disqualified.
