As part of its internationalization strategy to attract top foreign students, the University of Milan offers scholarships and tuition fee exemptions to international students.
The University of Milan Excellence Scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding applicants enrolling in the first year of a Master’s degree program.
Scholarship recipients are selected by a dedicated committee from among all students who apply for admission to a Master’s program by May 31, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an international student.
- Be applying for a Master’s degree program at the university.
- Meet the admission requirements for their chosen program.
- Submit their application by May 31, 2025.
Scholarship Benefits
For the 2025/2026 academic year, the University of Milan offers 155 scholarships to top international students admitted to a Master’s program:
- 55 scholarships worth €8,000 each, along with full tuition fee exemption.
- 100 full tuition exemptions covering the all-inclusive university fee.
Additionally, under the UNICORE 6.0 project, the university provides:
- One scholarship worth €6,000.
- Accommodation & a canteen card.
- Available for refugee students from Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, or Mozambique, admitted to an English-taught Master’s program.
