Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Scholarship Programme.
Established in 1991, the ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Programme has enabled numerous graduates to pursue PhDs at prestigious universities across Europe and North America.
Many alumni, after gaining international postdoctoral experience, have returned to their home countries, where they contribute to teaching and the development of advanced research groups. Others have built successful scientific careers at leading institutions worldwide, maintaining active collaborations with ICTP throughout their professional journeys.
Eligibility Requirements for the ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Scholarship 2025
The ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Scholarship Programme is open to young, qualified graduates (generally under 28 years of age) from countries that are members of the United Nations, UNESCO, or IAEA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold an MSc or an exceptionally strong BSc in physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Selection is based on university performance and academic recommendations.
- The selection committee aims to identify the most academically qualified candidates while maintaining gender balance and geographical diversity.
After completing the coursework and examinations, participants must submit and defend a dissertation.
